Reponsibilities

With such an active coast line, it is essential that the Parish Council keeps abreast of what is happening, and makes the views of our community known to those who take the decisions.

East Head Coastal Issues Advisory Group

This body comprises representatives from Chichester District Council, Environment Agency, Natural England, National Trust, Chichester Harbour Conservancy, West Wittering Parish Council, West Wittering Estate Plc, Cakeham Manor Estate Ltd and FG Woodger Trust. See here for more information.

West Wittering Flood Action Group

This body is raising money and working with Environment Agency and others to upgrade the villages sea defences at Snowhill. See here for more information.
