Many people assume that the word Parish means we are connected to the Church. The word Parish does reflect that fact that our boundary was originally defined in terms of the Church, however many years ago the roles of civil and ecclesiastical adminstrations were divided.

To be a member of the Parish Council you do not have to belong to the Church, nor indeed have any religious affiliations at all.

This said, we would emphasise that we enjoy close relations with the Parochial Church Council and, inevitably in our close knit community, many of our members are indeed members of the Church.

The WWPC meets regularly at the Pavilion on Rookwood Road usually on the first Thursday of every month at 7pm. Please refer to the event calendar on this website to see the agenda for forthcoming Council Meetings.
