WEST WITTERING PARISH COUNCIL
MINUTES of the Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday, 6th August 2009 in the Sports Pavilion, Rookwood Road, West Wittering
PRESENT: Mr. R. Hutton, (Chairman) Mr. J Robertson, Mr T. Tupper, Mr. K. Martin, Mr. W Buckland, Mr S. Colwell and 3 members of the Public.

82. DECLARATIONS UNDER THE CODE OF CONDUCT

83. MINUTES
On a proposal by Mr. Martin, seconded by Mr Robertson, members agreed that the minutes should be signed as a true and correct record.
84. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
(a) Members considered the following planning applications and the meeting was opened to allow the public to address the Council. The decisions of the Council are set out below.

WW/09/02549/DOM Pipers Wait Royce Way, West Wittering – New double garage and slate roof to porch.
OBJECTION, Contrary to VDS, overdevelopment
WW/09/02641/DOM Broadway 8 Marine Drive West Wittering – Replacement vine house following removal of existing, new attached garden store, raising of part of boundary wall to Cunliffe Road.

(c) On a proposal by Mr. Tupper, seconded by Mr. Martin, payment of the above accounts was authorised by the Parish Council.
86. FREEDOM OF INFORMATION - Model Publication Scheme
The Council considered the draft scheme already circulated by the Clerk. Subject to a clause being added regarding a series of requests from the same applicant within a 12 month period, on a proposal by Mr Martin, seconded by Mr Buckland the Council approved the model scheme.
87. OTHER ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION
(a) By Election 10th September 2009
Members discussed the forthcoming election and agreed that the Council would fund poll cards. .
(b) Seat – Marine Drive
Members noted further correspondence in respect of the seat on Marine Drive, however following discussion it was agreed that the seat must be removed and the Council agreed to a further 14days for the owner to remove it.
(c) East Head WP
Mr Robertson reported that the next meeting would be held on 7th October. Members noted that a contribution of £400 would be requested from stakeholders.
88. OPEN FORUM
Mr Read agreed with the Councils decision regarding poll cards.
There being no further business for discussion the meeting closed at 8.30pm.
