Your attendance is requested at the Annual Meeting
of the Parish Council to be held in the Social Room of the
Sports Pavilion at 7.00 p.m. on Thursday 7th May 2009

1. Election of Chairman

3. Representatives of Working parties and Outside Bodies (see attached schedule)

4. Apologies for absence and declarations under the Code of Conduct.

5. Presentation and feedback by CDC Rural Housing Enabler Sam Irving, following open event on 7th May.

6. Confirmation of Minutes of meeting held on 16th April 2009 (Copy available in Library) and any matters arising.

7. Planning – to consider planning applications received including appeals and enforcement action. The Chairman will open the meeting to allow members of the public to address the Council.

8. Clerks Report – including updates from Working Parties as follows;

  • Allotments – Update on boundary clearance and cultivation of plots
  • Footpaths and Open Spaces – WSCC footpath maintenance,, removal of Seat, Marine Drive bank,
  • Sportsfield and Pavilion Management and Millennium Meadow
  • Snowhill – to approve quotations for track repair
  • Memorial Hall – to receive any report from the Council’s representative on the Management Committee
  • Finance
  • Village Green
  • Twinning
  • Web Site Development and Communications – to include an update on the new hosting arrangements and development of the site.
  • Footway Lighting –
  • Pagham to East Head Coastal Defence Strategy – update from representatives of the East Head Coastal Advisory Group

9. Correspondence received for action or comment including items circulated for information
only (NB items of correspondence must be received by the Clerk for inclusion at least 1 week
before the meeting.

10. Finance – budget monitoring, bank reconciliation and accounts for payment as listed.
Members will also review the Clerks salary and may by resolution vote to exclude the Press and the Public in order to discuss this matter.

11. County Council and European Elections – 4th June 2009 – members to note change of
date for June meeting from 4th June to 1st June 2009.

13. Open Forum – including questions from the public which the Council will consider (no decisions can be made by the Council unless further debate agreed.
